Les Root opened ‘ROOTS’ in High Wycombe in 1994, and stocks the very best of British and international foods for those who care about the quality of the food they eat.

On the shelves you will find a wonderful selection of speciality foods, many of which make excellent gifts. Make your choice, or pick one of the hamper selections and we will gift wrap and ship.

Several different olive oils are available for tasting. Bring in a recycled bottle and get it filled up with your favourite oil.

Traditional British cheeses are a speciality. Farmhouse cheeses have real taste, a welcome change from supermarket uniformity and blandness. The range is always changing as we discover new, talented cheese makers.

Fresh bread is baked on the premises several times a day. Gourmet filled baguettes are popular at lunchtimes, choose from the menu, or make your own selection.

More and more people are concerned about pesticide residues and intensive farming practices. Roots isn’t a health food shop, but we have an excellent selection of organic food and wines, sourced from suppliers who are passionate about the quality of their produce.
